6:30-6:50 AM: Get up.
6:30-7:50 AM: Shower, eat breakfast, shave, brush my teeth, pack my laptop.
7:30-7:50 AM: Leave for Enterprise.
7:55-8:15 AM: Arrive at office.
8:00-8:45 AM: Check office emails, forward and print emails, archive in Outlook, mark with file numbers.
8:30 AM-11:00 AM: File documents, assist with projects, enter employee timesheets into billing app, ask questions, process incoming documents from after 12 PM the day before.
10:35-11:00 AM: Walk to post office, drop and pick up mail, pickup anything else (like that oh so important half & half), file anything needed with the circuit court.
10:45 AM-12:00 PM: Process and mail list incoming documents from mail, circuit court, client hand deliveries, and wherever else.
12:00-1:00 PM: Paste email information to mail list. Print and distribute mail lists.
12:30-2:00 PM: Start lunch break. This ranges from 20 minutes to an hour.
1:00-2:30 PM: File more papers, assist with projects.
2:30-3:10 PM: Keep an eye on outgoing mail and help Tami process it if needed.
3:10 PM: Go to the post office, hit other locations as necessary (like another attorney’s office). Have to get that PM mail in before 3:15.
3:25-5:30 PM: File more, enter timesheets, assist with projects, email scanned documents to clients (doesn’t everybody love image PDFs).
5:05-5:30 PM: Post my time and split the scene.
5:30-6:00 PM: Get home.
5:45-6:45 PM: Go to dinner.
6:00-7:15 PM: Finish dinner.
The rest: chill out with my laptop, iron clothes for tomorrow, brush my teeth, go to bed, etc. I usually turn off my light from 9:30-11 PM.
Really, I do like having a full time job. It just leaves less time.
