A little while back while whipping up some high-res versions of stickers for a friend, I was wondering how much PPI is enough for printing. This article shows that you can get good prints from 150 PPI upward. I went ahead with 300 for the stickers, though, just to make sure they look nice and crisp (especially because they prominently feature text).
